Meet The Team

  • Dr. Christopher Brooks
    Principal Dentist

I was born and raised in Vancouver and received my BSc and DMD degrees at UBC. My wife, Linda, works at Surrey Memorial Hospital in ICU and our daughter Sydney is studying at UVIC. As a family, we love the outdoors from skiing to hiking and kayaking and have recently completed kayak trips to the Bowron Lake and the Broken Islands group and soon to Haida Gwaii.

I wanted to create a relaxed setting and surround myself with people that show compassion, empathy and kindness because that is the environment that I work at my best. Everyone you meet at our office will have a smile and make you feel comfortable. It took a few years to find the right group of people that make up our dental team and some of them have been with us for over 20 years.

When you enter the office, you are greeted by an art gallery that has 22 local artists whom have used a wide variety of mediums. We will try to give you something else to occupy your thoughts with ceiling mounted TVs when you are seated in the dental chair. Also, we have a registered shiatsu therapist on site.

We strive to brighten your smile and give you knowledge about your teeth, then together, we can discuss what the best treatment options are for your needs.

How can I brighten your smile and your dental experience?

  • Dr. Nathalie Kos

Born and raised in Saskatchewan, I graduated from the College of Dentistry at the University of Saskatchewan in 2001. Upon graduation, I moved to the West Coast and have had the pleasure of working in the South Surrey / White Rock community ever since. I enjoy the variety and challenges of general practice dentistry and especially enjoy meeting families and seeing them grow alongside our practice. I strive to provide excellent care, and in doing so keep abreast of current knowledge and practices by participating in various courses and study clubs and working with a great team. I invite patients to ask questions and engage in their treatment planning process.

Outside of practicing dentistry, I enjoy spending time with my husband, son, and twin daughters. Some of our favourite activities include walking, running, and bicycling in the forest as well as camping and skiing on the beautiful West Coast! My most recent interest is learning to play the violin with my son.

  • Laurie

I started working with Dr. Brooks almost 25 years ago as a receptionist and certified dental assistant.

We have so many patients that joined our practice when it first started and are still patients today, I think that says a lot about the care they are receiving. It is so rewarding to be able to help so many patients with their dental needs and I feel fortunate to work with such a wonderful group of people!

  • Joan P. Johnson

I have worked in the community for 21 years as a shiatsu therapist, also offering treatments in soft tissue technique, reflexology, zero balancing and CranioSacral Therapy.

CranioSacral works well on temporomandibular joint discomfort by decreasing tension in the jaw and therefore decreasing neck and shoulder pain, headaches and migraines. It can also help symptoms of tinnitus, vertigo and lightheadness. As a former dental assistant for a TMJ specialist, I am aware of how this dysfunction affects many people.

I’ve been with Dr. Brooks for almost 20 years.¬†We’re very aware of the stresses that our patients experience when coming to us and I try to show compassion and understanding to make their visit a pleasant one. I enjoy helping people and have chosen dentistry as my profession because of the people we meet here and the staff are more like family. I look forward to meeting you!
